I’m a graphic designer and content creator from Connecticut. Currently, I work as a Graphic Designer at The Visual Brand in Westport, CT.
As a creator, I value the role of the design and creative process in producing content across a variety of platforms. This has been my main focus across a variety of experiences in social media management, strategy, and content creation. In addition to content creation, I also have experience in logo and brand identity design, UX/UI, and print.
I recently graduated from Quinnipiac University with a BA in Graphic and Interactive Design, and was recognized by the department with the Design Research Award.
Hi! I’m Sean Formantes.
My Design Philosophy
To design and create for the good of humanity.
We have become increasingly dependent on technology, and our dependence is quite staggering. We have scaled the impact of technology without fully discussing the ramifications of doing so.
I do not believe that we are all here on this earth to simply exist, and take up space on the metaverse until our time has come. We each have an individual purpose that cannot be filled solely by a screen. The screen may play a role, but it does not have the ultimate role.
I refuse to believe that human thought and creativity can or should be regulated solely to the output of an AI.
I also believe that AI should be used within creative fields to reasonable limits.
Not all innovation is regarded as progress. Innovation can also be as negative as it is regressive. However, any innovation is bound to bring positive changes, which can and should be used to the human benefit.
As a designer, I am conscious of how the choices I make affects people’s perception, and chose to create work that benefits others.
