I Started a LinkedIn Group

The name of the group is “Emerging Designers, Creators, and Communicators.” Hence the letter E. You should join it.

For a while now, I've been wanting to start a LinkedIn group for students and graduates in the communications field (like myself) to connect.

Today, I finally put my procrastinative thoughts and doubts such as "will anyone join this" on the side - and started the group.

"But Sean... why? Seriously, why?"

Easy. Recently, I've been thinking a lot about the power of community. I've learned so much through reading books and watching videos... but we can learn so much more together than we can apart.

As a mentor in my life has taught me, "when you get with the right people, at the right time, at the right place, the right things happen."

Having recently started freelancing myself, I know that graduates just like myself can't navigate this industry alone. It needs to be done together.

That's what I'm aiming to do with this group. Connect emerging designers, creators, and communicators from different areas, even different schools, together. Because I believe in the power of community.

If this sounds like you, would you consider joining?
