The Miss Connecticut Scholarship Organization needed a website that clearly communicates its mission, work, and activities to competitors, donors, and the press. As Connecticut's official preliminary to the Miss America system, the nonprofit runs both the Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut's Teen circuits. I redesigned its site, replacing one that lacked a cohesive structure and was hard to navigate, and launched it in February 2025 at missct.org.

Research on other pageant websites, inside and outside the Miss America system, led me to organize information around what each audience needs to find. The organization's gold, black, and white palette and established typeface set the creative direction. The homepage uses bold typography to call out messaging and angled images as a point of difference, and information flows smoothly as users scroll through the home and about pages.

As the designer, I produced three homepage mockups from that direction and shared them with the client. After a meeting to discuss, we chose a final direction. Every page has an improved user flow and a layout that's responsive for mobile.
